Mrs. Tarwater died Jan. 6, 2003, at a local hospital. She was born Dec. 8, 1908,
near Sacred Heart in Pottawatomie County to William and Nancy Hutchings Slusher.
She attended schools in Pottawatomie County.
She married R.B. Tarwater Jan. 1, 1949.
Mrs. Tarwater and her husband owned and operated Tarwater Feed and Produce. She
was affiliated with Oak Avenue Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Danny Morris, in 1975.
Survivors include her husband R.B. Tarwater, of the home; a daughter, Virginia
Morris Haney, Ada; a grandson; and two great-grandsons.
Bearers are Sonny Griffith, Benny Slusher, Kenneth Slusher, Terry Gardner, Pod
Law and Joe Maddox.
