Mary Lucina Bennett was the daughter of my great-great-grandmother, Juliet Ross Featherbay Brown Woodruff by her third marriage to Calvin Woodruff, making her the half-sister of my great-grandfather, LeRoy Arthur Featherbay.

Mary was born in Skinners Eddy, PA. She married Very Dimock Bennett, the son of Davis Bennett and Mary Very. He was born on July 17, 1876 and died on September 16, 1952 in Clapper Hill, PA. He is buried with Mary in Beaver Meadow Cemetery.

Mary and Very had one son, Glenn Ferris Bennett, born May 6, 1905, in Clapper Hill, PA. Glenn married Florence Marie Beckmann, the daughter of George Beckman and Anne O'Halleran on May 6, 1932. Florence was born October 3, 1903 in Coudersport, PA and died December 18, 1995 in Clapper Hill, PA. She was buried on December 20, 1995 in Beaver Meadow Cemetery.

Glenn and Florence were both school teachers.

Glenn died on October 16, 2005, just five months after his 100th birthday.Lot 16 and 17, V. D. Bennett Lot

Very married second on December 15, 1938 to Florence James Howland Place (1880 – 1959) the widow of Sherman Howland and Charles A Place. For further information regarding Florence, please refer to Charles A. Place. Very and Mary Bennett had just one son, Glenn.
Very was the son of Davis Dimock and Cornelia Very Bennett. Mary Lucina was the daughter of Calvin and Juliet Ross (Snell) Woodruff. Mary died of from complications of a broken hip the Robert Packer Hospital.
There is an interesting burial note regarding Mary Bennett. She has a flagstone vault. Vaults did not become popular until about 1950.
