My Paternal Grandmother; born to Charles & Catherine Emerson, she was raised in East Boston. She married Herbert Kearns in 1918 & they raised 4 children: Herbert, Charles, John, & Katherine. She was a member of St.Paul's Catholic Church in Hingham, Massachusetts, where she served on the ladies guild. She was a member of the local bridge club & was a founder of the Hingham Girl Scouts. She was also a Gold Star Mother. She died of lung cancer at her home in Hingham, MA.
