Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Mike was the son of the late Joseph and Lucille Bridges Cavanaugh. As a young man, he was employed with the Ironworkers Local Union #3 in Pittsburgh for 15 years and later with Siemens-Westinghouse for 23 years as an engineer and a project management professional. Mike and his wife, Patty, moved to Cocoa, Florida in 2000. During recreational hours, he was a member of the Cocoa Moose Lodge #1717 and was an active participant in their pool (pocket billiards) league. He also had a passion for rebuilding classic cars and cooking for friends and family. Mike passed away suddenly at the Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida.
Cremated, Ashes given to family or friend.
