Dorothy worked in retail sales 27 years with the Allied Company, retiring in 1986 as Manager of Ladies Wear at Northpark Joske's. She returned to Joske's Fur Salon for a short time. After retirement she enjoyed traveling to Germany, the Orient, France, The Netherlands and many trips to Hawaii and other interesting locations. Her hobby of annuals and perennial plants were a joy.
She was preceded in death by husband, Les Almon; sister, Blanche; and brother Leroy. Aunt Dot is survived by nephew Tim Brewer and wife Peggy; along with his children, Tim Jr., Tandy Baerst, Tosh, Tiffany, Tarah Troost, and Tory; nieces, Dottie Freeman, Tami Neatherlin, and Tina Aten; together with many great nieces and nephews and extended in-law family.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday June 25, 2010 at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, at the Funeral Home.
