Canadian statesman. A native of Chicago (Illinois), he studied at the Saint-Joseph seminary in Trois-Rivières (Québec). He worked as aa insurance agent and manager of the credit union of Shawinigan. He served as alderman on the Shawinigan town council, from July 1930 to July 1932. In 1935, he tried unsuccessfully to get elected as a Liberal-independent candidate in the federal riding of Saint-Maurice-Laflèche. He met the same fate when, a year later, he tried to be sent as a Liberal to the Legislative Assembly in the riding of Saint-Maurice. In 1939, in the Québec general election, he won his bid and the seat of Saint-Maurice for the Liberal Party. He did not represent himself in 1944. He died in Ville Saint-Laurent, on the Montréal island.
