Charles Abel, 69 years old, who has been in the grocery and mercantile business in Oklahoma county for the last 30 years, died Friday morning in his home, 114 Northeast 2nd Street.
Abel, an '89er, came to Oklahoma county from Easton, Kansas, and moved to Oklahoma City in 1916. He was operating a grocery store at the home address at the time of his death. He also had been in the real estate business.
Survivors include 3 sons, Arthur W. Abel, Tulsa; Robert L. Abel, 1509 Northwest 11th Street, and Charles E. Abel of the home: 1 daughter, Mrs. J. L. Beveridge, 740 Northeast 29th Street; 2 sisters and a brother, all of Leavenworth, Kansas and 4 grandchildren.
