She was employed at Medonna Rehabilitation as a Certified Med Aide. SERVICE: Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 27, 2004 at Wyuka Funeral Home in Lincoln, NE. FAMILY: Jennifer is survived by her parents Cathy & John Blazek of Lincoln; her twin sister Crystal and her brother Nicholas, both of Lincoln; her maternal grandparents; Marvin & Patricia Spradley of Lincoln, NE; and her paternal grandfather Gary Blazek of Cortland, NY. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Judy Hitz.
Hays, of Dorchester, was driving the motorcycle near West Adams and Northwest 45th streets Nov. 20, 2004, when he lost control of the bike. Hays' passenger, Jennifer Blazek, 21, of Lincoln, was thrown from the bike and killed.
Investigators said Hays and Blazek had been at a party in Airpark when they decided to leave around 2:30 a.m. Sometime after 4 a.m. Hays telephoned a friend and told him that he and Blazek had been in an accident. Hays was unable to identify the location and he and Blazek were not found until around 6 a.m.
