BASS, Annie Hawkins, age 72 of Manchester died Sunday, July 13, 2003 at Beverly Health Care in Winchester. She was born in Cowan and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Forest Mill Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Howard Embrey and Annie Lucretia Culpepper Hawkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bass. She is survived by four daughters, Ginger Farless of Estill Springs, Sandra Morris of Murfreesboro, Dixie Crawford of Tullahoma and Jill Gulley of Winchester, seven grandchildren, Crystal Gayle, Angela, Lauren, Morgan, Jordan, Michael and Chelsea and one great-grandchild, Ariel. A memorial service was held Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Forest Mill Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Niles officiating. Interment was in the Mount Garner Cemetery, Decherd.
