Short after WW2 He served for His Duty in a Dutch Infantry Regiment in the former Dutch Dominion Nederlands Oost-Indie (Netherlands Dutch East Indies)during the troubles with the Terrorists, armed with the Weapons of the Japanese Army which they left to them after the Japanese Capitulation to the Allied Forces. The former DUTCH Dominion is now named INDONESIA and the First President was

He worked many years for a very wellknow Company called C&A as Salesman in the Gentlemens Cloth Department.

Jan visited often the Bachelor Dance Evenings in my Partycentre "PARKZICHT" in the HAGUE around the Year 1970, His favoured Song was "Up a Lazy River".

Since then we have been in touch very often by phone or meeting eachother.

His Season Hobby, during the Weekends and Vacation, from March untill deep in Autumn Time, was cruising the many Canals in HOLLAND with His little Yacht.

After He was Retired in the Year 1993 He was Cruising the whole Summerseason.

Last Year,Winter 2006,Jan had Heart problems and stayed in a Hospital, see the Picture I have added.

Jan started Cruising again this Early Spring with his tiny little Yacht and during cruising He had a Coronary.
Cruising Friends found Him in His Yacht,He was in a Coma and Jan was brought to a Hospital in The HAGUE where He died June 6th.- 2007.
