Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Metcalf Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state prior to the service at the home of his son. Hartzell Adams, in Mars Hill. Surviving are the wife, Alda C. Adams, four sons, Hartzell Adams, Arthur Adams, Douglas Adams and Doyle Adams, all of Mars Hill, one daughter, Betty Adams Gaddy of Weaverville; a brother Don Adams and a sister, Ollie Adams, of California; a step-father Gilbert Calloway of Weaverville and three step-brothers, Charlie Calloway and Virgil Calloway of Weaverville and Grover Calloway of Detroit Mich. Holcombe Funeral Home of Mars Hill is in charge of arrangements.
