Allene Jennings (Rexrode) Allen was born on February 18, 1920 in Fort Worth, Texas to Clyde and Ruby (Goodwin) Rexrode. She spent her childhood and youth in Texas, Arizona, and the Rio Grande Valley. In 1940, she married James F. Jennings in Brownsville. Mr. Jennings was a civil engineer and the family was stationed in Karachi, Pakistan from 1956-1960. She was a housewife and raised three sons and one daughter. She was active in Girl Scouts and was Worthy Matron in Eastern Star. She is survived by four children, William S. Jennings and wife, Carlotta of Kerrville, Thomas E. Jennings and wife, Nancy of Houston, Carol Lynn Nowlin and husband, Jim of Prescott, AZ, and Robert R. Jennings and wife, Carol of Houston; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Lynn Irwin and Mary Francis Irwin, both of Kerrville.
