Rodallo di Caluso born Don Vincenzo Amedeo Actis Dato received private tutorship, being ordained priest on March 23, 1776. Coadjutor of the parish of Casalborgone, he was appointed as the first parish priest of Castelrosso by Msgr. Ottavio Pochettini. Hesitant at first to have him as their curate, the locals changed their minds in the thirty four years that followed due to his dedicated zeal and deep humbleness. Stricken while saying mass, he died of cerebral embolism at the age of 64 in odour of sanctity. Originally buried in front of the main altar of his parish, in 1982, on the occasion of the bicentenary of its foundation, his remains were transferred to the then newly constructed parish church and reburied on the presbytery near the main altar.
