Charles A. Lindroth was a victim of the September 16, 1920, Wall Street bombing terrorist attack. Lindroth worked at the National City Bank as a bookkeeper, and was on his way from the bank to a nearby restaurant when the bombing occurred. He was 25. He served in the 106th Machine Gun Battalion, Company C, of the 27th Division in World War I. He was invalided home after being gassed in the Somme Offensive, and began work at the bank six months later. He was a member of the Captain John Drum Post 273 of the VFW. In July 1920, two months prior to the bombing, Lindroth was married to Madeline Denig. At the time of his death, his wife was pregnant with their daughter, who was born seven months later.
