Sidney Samuel Davis Jr., 62 husband of Judi Motte Parrish Davis of Flat Drive Buffalo S.C.,died Monday, July 3th 2006
in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
Mr. Davis was born in Buffalo on April 8 1944,
a son of the late Sidney S. Davis Sr. and Mary Black Davis.
He was a retired truck driver..
Surviving in addition to his wife are five daughters,
Mary Lee and husband Joey of Georgia,Judy Moore and husband
Joe of Buffalo,Bonnie Baker of Spartanburg,Nancy Parrish of Georgia, and Victoria Davis of the home.
Four sons, Steven Davis and wife Maxine of Ga.
Sidney Lee Davis of Ottaray,Christopher Davis of the home and John T. Parrish of Norfolk Va.;four brothers.
Allen Davis and wife Terri of Greenwood, Walker Davis and Ronny Davis both of Union and Bruce Davis and wife Melanie of North Carolina; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren,nieces and nephews.
Mr.Davis was predeceased by a daughter,Susan Rene Davis and a brother Philip Davis.
Funeral services will be held 2 p m Thursday at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel by the Rev.Tim Anderson. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Johnny Davis, T.J.Hart Joe Moore Jr.Daniel Cheatham, John Parrish
Chris Clark and Franklin Burns.. Mr. Davis' grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The body will remain at the funeral homewhere the family will receive friends from 7 untill 9 tonight.
