He was born in Wayne to Robert and Gertrude; loving husband of Betty for 59 years; father of Bob, Becky (Tom), Barry and Bethany (Maurice); brother of Ron (Betsy) and Beverly. Bob attended Bob Jones University, Wayne State University and Detroit School of Technology. Drafted into the Army and served in Alaska during the Korean Conflict. Received a B.S. Degree from MSU, attended Moody Bible Institute, Physical Education Director at Chicago and Wayne YMCA. Youth Director at Wayne First Baptist Church. Master's Degree and Teaching Certificate at EMU. He taught Science in Farmington, Dublin and Walled Lake School Districts. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2012, from 2 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 7 p.m. at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Rd, White Lake.
