Roy Cecil Adams, 86, passed away Thursday December 6, 2012 at Fisher County Hospital.

Services were held 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 07, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Rotan with burial at Belvieu Cemetery under the direction of Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Roy was born November 7, 1926 to Ernest Deward and Bertie B. (George) Adams in Fisher County.

He graduated from Hobbs High School and attended Texas Tech University.

Roy served our country as a paratrooper in the Army Air Force.

He married Mary Jane Adams on October 7, 1950 and because the minister was ill in the hospital, they were married in room 33 of Callan Hospital.

Mary passed away in 2003 and he married Jean Brazee February 14, 2007 at Hodges.

Roy retired from National Gypsum after forty years, but his passions were farming and ranching.

He loved working and was always proud of his horse "Ol Buck".

After Highland Home Baptist Church closed, Roy joined the First Baptist Church of Rotan and later joined Hodges Baptist Church.

Roy is preceded in death by his wife (Mary Adams), parents and an infant brother (Paul Deward Adams).

Roy is survived by his wife Jean Adams of Hodges; Peggy and Ricky Williams of Rotan, Susan Carver of Knox City, Cecilia and Bob Greenlee of Rotan, and Myra and Kenneth King of Roby; ten grandchildren and their spouses, Riley and Stephanie Carver, Lacy and Jerry Curry, Clinton and Leia Williams, Colter Williams, Sarah and Brent Harris, Zachary and Molly Greenlee, Kasey King, Kody King, Corey King, and Monica King; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Hudnall; and five step-children and their children, Clark and Robin Brazee, Steve and Margaret Brazee, Randy and Carol Brazee, Margaret and Rocky Underwood, and Sadie and Ricky Barbee, all of Hawley
