Billy "Bill" Dean Adams, 74, of Knott, died on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, in a Lamesa nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 16, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

He was born on February 14, 1930, in Knott, Texas and married Juanita Newsom, on March 13, 1953 in Lovington, New Mexico.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Knott.

Mr. Adams was a lifelong resident of Knott.

He was a truck driver for the Union Pacific Railroad and a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Adams; one daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Byron Hill of Stanton; two granddaughters, Rebecca Mathews of Gruver, and Danielle Burrow of Lubbock; one grandson, Brent Hill of Stanton; two great grandchildren, Coley and Cagan Mathews both of Gruver; two sisters, Betty Poitevint of Big Spring and Edna Cates of Merkle; and one brother, Charles Adams of Sherman.

He was was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Iona Adams, and one brother, Preston Adams.

The family suggests memorials be made to Odyssey Hospice, 1003 E. FM 700, Big Spring, Texas 79720.
