Mrs. Lucille Anderson was born to the parentage of Edmond and Mattie Dixon Lewis on May 8, 1912 in Clarksville, Texas. She received her education in her hometown. She accepted Christ and joined the church at an early age. Mrs. Anderson relocated to Fresno, California in 1954. She helped to raise her five nieces and one nephew. She was devoted to her family and loved going to church. She departed this life on January 3, 1993 in Fresno, California at the age of eighty (80) years.

Her beloved husband, Mr. Joe Spencer Anderson, preceded her in death May 26, 1976. Also preceding her in death was a niece, Lafayette (Alice Faye) Hill.

Mrs. Lucille Anderson leaves to cherish her memory: 2 brothers, Oscar Lewis and Gavin Lewis, (Clarksville, TX); 2 sisters, Juanita Behn (Fresno, CA) and Ollivette Young (Albuquerque, NM); a nephew, Mel Behn (Fresno, CA); 4 nieces, Rosetta Bills, Arneta Mack and Ethel Jones (Fresno, CA), and Jennie Wesley (Los Angeles, CA); and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

We all love her, but God loves her best.

Services held Saturday, January 8, 1993, at 1:00 p.m., Fellowship Baptist Church, 2529 E. Belmont Avenue, Fresno, CA. Reverend Kenneth J. Ransfer, Officiating.

Services entrusted to the care of Jesse E. Cooley, Jr. Funeral Home, 1830 South Fruit Avenue, Fresno, CA.
