Tammy T. Allshouse, 59, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the home of her daughter in Colorado Springs, Colorado after a long battle with kidney cancer.
She was born on October 20, 1944 to Delbert LeRoy Thompson and Verona Thacker Thompson Schaugaard in Heber, UT. Tammy grew up in Utah attending schools here and graduating from Orem High School.
She married John (Jack) Richard Allshouse May 14, 1965 in Elko, NV. She was blessed with 6 step-children that day and added Debbie and Rick to what they called their special crew. They lived in American Fork and then moved to Orem where they lived until dad passed. Tammy has since lived in Provo, San Antonio, TX and Colorado Springs.
Tammy loved the outdoors, going fishing or hunting and spent many years teaching hunter education and ethics to young sportsmen.
She also loved to travel and see new things. Mom spent countless hours doing genealogy and scrap-booking. The time she enjoyed the most was spent with friends and family, especially her grand-kids. Although known to few as mother, daughter, sister, grandma, or aunt, she was known to all who knew her as friend and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Roy) Shaw of Colorado Springs, CO, Son Rick (Tracy) Allshouse of Payson, Mother Verona Schaugaard of Orem, Sister Karen (George) Storey of Pleasant Grove, Brother Ronnie (Kim) Schaugaard of Pleasant Grove, stepdaughters Jalee (Paul) Cox of American Fork, Cheryl Sitton of Lehi and Jeanette Allshouse and Jackie Huertas of California, and by numerous grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John "Jack" Richard Allshouse, father Delbert L. Thompson and step-father Joseph L. Schaugaard.
A special thanks to Dr. Kim and to hospice who helped so much these last few precious months. We appreciate your hard work and caring attitudes.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. in the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery 4800 North 650 East in Provo.
