Earl was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter_day Saints. He was ordained to the Priesthood office of High Priest and served faithfully in the Temple over the past several years. He also held various other Ward and Stake callings. He was particularly fond of serving with the youth of the Church.
He retired from ARINC after 36 years in airline communications.
He is surived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Mary B. Preece. He also leaves behind two daughters; Kat Oxford of Denver, Colorado; and Tish Dawson of Salt lake City, and 3 grandchildren.
