Christina K (Davis) Applegate, 46, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 21 from an unknown cause at her home. Chris was born August 20, 1962. She was preceded in death by her parents; Orville and Alberta Grace Davis of Marion. Chris is survived by her two sons; Brent Applegate of Caledonia and Jacob Piper of Marion. She is also leaving behind two sisters and two brothers, all of Marion; Cathy Edington, Cindy (Arnold) Newell, Tom Davis, and Mike (Jennifer) Davis, plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. Chris had a great sense of humor and we will always cherish the great times we had together. She was an avid reader who expressed her talents and creativity with writing and art work. She was a mother with great potential, and had a heart of gold. All of us reflect deeply when our loved ones pass away so suddenly. To the end, Chris was working in an environment of lasting, meaningful relationships. She was a mother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, her family would be honored if each of you would contribute to your family in a special way. We would encourage you to do some of the things that money cannot buy. Spend time with your family now and don't assume you will always have the time to do so.
