Born in New Haven, CT on August 23, 1926 he was the only child of Peter and Catherine Ardito (nee Caputo). George attended Hill House High School in New Haven, CT then graduated from Holy Cross College in 1950. He served as a staff sergeant in the US Army prior to attending Georgetown University School of Dentistry. He had his own dental practice in Hamden, CT for 37 years. George married Susan Bon Tempo of Woodbridge, CT in 1954 and together they had 5 children. He was a resident of Hamden, CT for 37 years, then moved to Bernardston, MA where he lived for 18 years, before moving to Cranston, RI. He was active in a number of associations including the American and the New Haven Dental Associations,
