Bass, 88, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at his residence.
Born May 1, 1919, in Paducah, he was a son of George and Sally Mosley Bass, both deceased.
His wife Odelia Morris Bass preceded him in death.
Bass was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He leaves one son: George Edward Bass Jr. of Paris; two daughters: Oma Delores Bass and Marjorie Alberta Bass (Tom) Sims, both of Paris; two stepsons: William (Phyllis) Morris and Steve (Ruth) Morris, both of Indianapolis;
Two stepdaughters: Joan Denson of Chattanooga and Lynette Morris of Madison; a special caregiver: Emma Coulter; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several other relatives.
A brother Barnett Bass also preceded him in death.
