Eugene was my mother's father. She loved him very much, but he died before I was born. He was a good father and husband. He never finished school, but took night classes to become an electrician. He went to church with his children, somtimes even riding them on his bicycle's handle bars. He loved to make toys and accesories like doll houses for his children. He loved to drive in the country on long and windy roads. His wife, Lillian Gibson Gandt was just recently buried next to him in their joint plot. He is loved and missed by his family.
