William Levi (Bill) Mayfield; Married Othella Olson on April 7, 1928; children Billy Ray, Betty Jean, Alice Ruth, Clara Joyce, J.W. and Kathryn; U.S. Army World War I, Co E, 144th Infantry; Christian, member First Baptist Church, Hubbard, Texas. A resident of Hubbard, Texas all his adult life, self educated and taught, Bill as he was affectionally known by his friends, was born outside Hubbard, Texas on a farm owned by his father, J.W. and his mother Martha Jane, on April 9, 1891. Our Dad died at the Veterns Administration Hospital in Marlin, Texas on Feb 3, 1966 from advanced prostate cancer.
