Retired foreman of the Painesville roundhouse of the B & O railroad, Arthur W. Ahlstrom died this morning at Lake County Memorial Hospital after a four-year illness. He was 76.

Mr. Ahsltrom, of 6456 Painesville-Ravenna Road, was an employe of the railroad 49 years before retiring in 1954.

He was born in Green Bay, Wis., March 22, 1889 but had been a resident of this area for 70 years.

June 6, 1915 he married the former Miss Evelyn Woide in Painesville.

Three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
