Elizabeth A. Admonius, age 89, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at Canterbury Villa following a long illness.

Elizabeth was born Dec. 10, 1916, in East St. Louis, Ill., to Joseph E. Sarchione Sr. and Eufemia Fannie Caravella Sarchione. Liz and her husband owned and operated the M&P Super Market on Patterson Street and Mahoning Avenue from 1938-1998. She was a member of St. Josephs Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John E. Admonius; son, Eugene Admonius; brothers, Joseph E. Jr., Eugene and Harry Sarchione; and a special friend, Alexander Ben Cosma.
