From "The Aurora Sun", Aurora, Nebraska dated Saturday, November 1, 1890, Page 8:
Died, Monday Oct. 20th., of consumption, William R. Andrews, aged 59 years, 11 months and 27 days. Was born in York state and moved from Wisconsin to Bromfield, Neb., a few years ago. He leaves a wife and two children, the youngest not being quite a year old, the oldest three years. He was an old soldier, had lost one eye in the service and received a bullet wound. The G. A. R. Society of this place took charge of the funeral. Rev. Giltner delivered a short sermon at the house after which his remains were placed in the cemetery of this place. The bereaved wife and children have the sympathd of the entire community.
