Kenneth V. Arestia, 58, a resident of New Canaan for 25 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at his home. He was the loving and devoted husband of Jane Whitty Arestia. He was born on July 27, 1950 in New York, NY to Salvatore and Angela Urrutia Arestia.

Mr. Arestia worked for over 20 years at Marsh & McLennan Companies. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed playing tennis and watching his sons play lacrosse.

In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Arestia is survived by his sons Matthew Arestia of Stamford, James and his wife Vivian Arestia of Philadelphia, PA, Daniel Arestia and Charles Arestia, both of New Canaan, and his sister Janet Filipovsky and her family of Brooksville, FL.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Aloysius Church. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.

Friends may visit on Sunday January 25, 2009 from 2:00-6:00 pm at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan, CT 06840.
