Wanita Marie Boudreaux, 90, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Southside Gardens in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born April 1, 1925, to A.L. and Loretta Senac Boudreaux in Berwick, LA. "Deeda," as she was called by her family, was a retired Music and English teacher as well as a part-time librarian. She graduated from Morgan City High School in 1942, from Northwestern Louisiana University in 1946, and Columbia University in 1953.

She is survived by her sister Patricia Boudreaux Davidson and brother-in-law Paul L. Davidson, Jr; her nieces and nephews Lynn Shelley, Pam Wall, Paul Davidson III, Jan Wall, Judy Owens, Fr. Al Davidson, Sue Hagius, Dale Davidson, Jim Firmin, and Aubrey "Copper" Hirsch, along with their spouses, children, and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Willia Bagot, Rosemary Firmin, Marian Hirsch, Bishop Warren L. Boudreaux, and Delmer Boudreaux.

The funeral service was officiated by her nephew Fr. Al Davidson, followed by her burial in the Franklin Cemetery.
