Thomas Eugene Burnett, 53, of 520 Hitching Post Road, husband of Janie Lou Lawton Burnett, died Monday, July 4, 2011 at his home.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of B.W. Burnett and the late Clara Jean Epting Burnett. He was employed by the Greenwood County Landfill and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Saluda.
Surviving are his wife of the home; his father of Saluda; two daughters, Kaitlyn B. Caraman of Lexington and Angela Parker of Greenwood; three sons, Justin Eugene Burnett of Lexington, Tyrone Parker and James Parker, both of the home; his aunts, Ellen E. Shaw of Newberry and Margaret Ann Oswald and her husband, Edward, of Lexington; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Saluda.
Pallbearers will be Allen Shaw, Lee Shaw, Deon Jones, Tyrone Parker, James Parker and T-Cat Lewis.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m.
