Her obituary from the November 23, 1961 Republican:

Mrs. Bessie Adams, mother of Mrs. Nina S. Blake of Lizton, died Friday at the home of Mrs. Edna Elliot of North Salem where she had made her home since Mothers' Day. She had been in ill health for some time.

A native of Jennings County, she was born December 27, 1877 the daughter of Orlando and Elizabeth Zimmerman Wildey. She was married to the late Charles F. Adams, a former blacksmith of Lizton who died September 1, 1939.

She had been a resident of Lizton for the past 45 years where she was a member of the Lizton Christian Church. She was a former employee of the H. P. Wasson Company of Indianapolis.

Services were conducted Friday afternoon in the Lizton Christian Church with the Rev. Maurice Ankrom of Lizton and Rev. James Shockley of Danville officiating. The Weaver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Lizton K of P Cemetery.

Surviving with the daughter is one grandchild.
