Mr. Alvarado, 91, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Mission Arch Care Center in Roswell, New Mexico.
Ismael was born September 12, 1923 in Carlsbad, New Mexico; the son of Jose Alvarado and Bonifacia (Garcia) Alvarado. He was a lifelong Artesia resident.
On February 14, 1944 he was married to Angelita Gonzales in Artesia.
Ismael was a Co-Owner/Operator of Alvarado Farms and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He was a Crucillista, and a member of the Artesia Alfalfa Growers Association. Ismael also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Herminia A. Lopez and Consuelo Lopez.
