Sadie "Mildred" Reid was the last born child of the marriage of William Luther and Ida Kelly Reid. (b: 15 Oct 1906, d: unk). Mildred's father was a farmer in the Bluemont area at the time of her birth.

She married HARMON L. STICKLES (b: 24 Nov 1898; d: 6 Oct 1942) circa 1930--the actual date and location are not known. Research has shown that she was not married in either Clarke, Frederick or Loudoun Counties; it is believed that the marriage might have occured in Washinton, D.C., as both she and "Puddy" were known to have both worked there. Puddy died in oct. 1942, early in life from complications of upper respiratory infection in Washington, D.C.

After a few years, Mildred was introduced to Harry Poston probably in or around Bluemont, VA. area. It is believed that the Pastor was Dorsey K. Sturgis.

Mildred died of complications of diabetes in Warrenton, VA. and as per her wishes, (1) she was cremated in Washington, D.C., and (2) interred with her first husband Harmon in the STICKLES plot at Ebenezer Church and Graveyard in Bloomfied, Loudoun Co., VA.
