Mrs. Adkins died Friday afternoon at Westgate Medical Center in Denton.
She was born September 13, 1920 in Mount Zion to Abe and Agnes Cox. She married Woody Adkins in Whitesboro on September 5, 1942. She was a housewife and a member of the Bible Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband Woody Adkins of Gainesville, two sons, Ronnie Adkins of Sanger, and Terry Adkins of Gainesville; one daughter, Mrs. Donna Partain of Gainesville; four brothers, Marvin Cox, Ralph Cox and Pete Cox, all of Collinsville, and Clifford Cox of Sherman; three sisters, Iva Johnson of Collinsville, Edna Powers of Sanger, and Jesse Reasor of Collisburg; nine grandchildren; and on great-grandchild.
Pallbearers are Scott Johnson, Wayne Kyle, Howard Powers, Dennis Reasor, Bill Cox and Bobby Cox.
