Nell Allen, 91, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at St. John's Hospital.
She was born on November 29, 1921 in Hardinsburg, KY, the daughter of the late Warnie and Lillian (Carmen) Horsley. She married William R. Allen on Feb. 24, 1944 in Louisville, KY and he preceded her in death in November of 1996.
Mrs. Allen was a homemaker and was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Springfield.
She is survived by two sons, Richard and David, 4 grandsons and two granddaughters,
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Hinds, and a sister Virginia Horsley.
