Amelia Perez Alaniz, 59, passed away on December 25, 2006 in Jourdanton, Texas after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on October 22, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Amelia was a loving daughter, sister and mother. She will always be remembered for her great sense of humor and her loving spirit.

She was preceded in death by her father; Leonardo Perez, maternal grandfather; Apolonio Galvan, maternal grandmother; Francisca C. Galvan, and uncles; Jose and Horacio Galvan.

Amelia is survived by her mother; Angelita G. Ramiscal, one daughter; Veronica Garza, one son: Jose Esteban Alaniz, three sisters; Diana Alvarado, Norma Garcia and Leonor Salazar, one brother; Rolando Ramiscal all of Corpus Christi, Texas, five grandchildren; two great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family members and friends.

Visitation and rosary was held December 28, 2006 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated December 29, 2006 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Interment followed at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Palllbearers: Andrew Alvarado, David Alvarado, Apolonio Galvan, Austin Garcia, Salvador Rodriguez III, Juan Salazar Jr., Ricardo Salazar and Rumaldo Salazar.

Dearest Sister: Not a day will go by that we will ever stop missing you. We will forever remember how happy you were to be around us. Your laugh and sense of humor will always be in our hearts until we meet again, we will forever love you and miss you. Your Family
