Conyers, Ga., February 23 -(Special)-
John T. Adair, for many years one of the most prominent citizens of Conyers, died at his home on Peek street Saturday evening at 5 o'clock.
Mr. Adair was 65 years of age. He is survived by a wife and two sons, W.L. and O.F. Adair, prominent young business men of Covington, Ga.
The funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church here today by Revs. J.M. DeFoor and M.L. Troutman. The large number of people who attended the funeral and burial attest the popularity of the deceased.

Adair, John T. - Enlisted as private in Company F 6th Georgia State Troops Oct 21, 1861. April 16 1862 shows him present. Mustered out of Savannah, Ga. April 1862. Enlisted as a private in Company D 9th battalion Ga. Artillery. Testified in John R. Barkers Pension.
