Recitation of the Rosary for Frank Aspesi, 69, of Cayucos will be at the Birza- Palmer- Waters Mortuary. Officiating will be the Rev. James McGuire of St Joseph's Catholic Church with a Requiem Mass celebrated the following morning at St Joseph's Church in Cayucos. Burial followed at the Cayucos-Morro Bay Cemetery.


Mr. Aspesi's family settled on a farm, a half mile south of Kingsburg, CA., when he was six years old, and he attended Kingsburg Schools. He then farmed on Clarkson Avenue, three miles west of Kingsburg until he purchased the Wildflower Market (Fresno County) at Clarkson and Fowler Avenues. He moved to Cayucos 25 years ago where he retired as a sanitation engineer for the City of Cayucos. He was a member of the American Legion Post 198, a charter member of the Cayucos Lions Club, and an honorary member of the California PTA.


Frank was survived by his wife, Leila of Cayucos; a daughter, Delores McGill of Bakersfield; and three brothers, John, Raymond, and Charlie; and two grandchildren.
