Milton A. "Pop" Adams, age 80, of Palestine, Texas died April 9, 2007 at his residence. Burial at Land of Memory Cemetery was under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home. He was born in Rocksprings, Texas on Oct. 8, 1926, to John Walter and Bammer Bort Adams. He was inducted into the Army of the United States in 1946; he recieved Asiatic Pacific Campaign, Armey of Occupation and the WWII Victory medals. After leaving the military he married Maxine Parks on 7/28/1947 in Rocksprings and they moved to Anderson County in 1949. They were blessed to have been married 48 years before she preceded him in death in 1995. He was a deacon at Long Lake Baptist Church. He worked as a maintenance electrician for Glass Containers in Palestine for 21 years before retiring in 1948. Survirovrs include sons, Elmer, Jack and Johnie; daughters, Connie Roberts, Terry Adams, and Kathy Cope; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and a sister, Ruby Carslile.
