JELLIFF –THELMA S. BAKER, Employee, Leprino Foods, age 57 of Bentley Creek, PA, died Monday, August 30, 1999 at home after an extended illness. She was born August 17, 1942 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of Glen and Lucille Wakely Jelliff. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Baker; parents, Glen and Lucille Jelliff of Bentley Creek, PA; daughter, Michele (William) Dunkerley of Chemung, NY; son, David E. (Heidi) Baker of Bentley Creek, PA; granddaughter, Christina Dunkerley; sisters, Sharon (Dan) Orshaw of Syracuse, NY and Karen (Lynn) Warner of Bentley creek, PA; brother, Leland (Roberta) Jelliff also of Bentley Creek, PA. Also several nieces and nephews. Thelma was a member of the Berrytown Wesleyan Church, she was the church organist for over 30 years and was very active in her church. She was an employee of Leprino Foods, Waverly, NY, a past Secretary and past Treasurer of the Sayre Professional Business Women’s Assn., former member of the Ridgebury Fire Co. Auxiliary, Bentley Creek, PA and was a certified Professional Secretary. Friends may call at Roberts Funeral Home, Wellsburg, NY, Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1999 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services there Thursday at 10:30 AM. Rev. David Larson of the Athens Wesleyan Church officiating. Interment in Bentley Creek Cemetery, Bentley Creek, PA. In lieu of flowers friends may contribute to either the Athens Wesleyan Church Memorial fund, Sayre, PA or the Berrytown Wesleyan Church, RR 1, Gillett, PA. –Elmira Star Gazette.
