Death entered this community last week and took away Mr. William Belair, aged 88 years. He has been a resident of Trout River for a long time and was well liked, as he had a kind disposition. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Belair, several children and grandchildren, to whom the sympathy of the people of this community are extended. Mr. Belair was buried Saturday, the funeral being held in St. Bridget's Church and burial in the cemetery there.

William was married three times. His first two wives, Mary Jane (Dugas/Dugan/Degon) and Julieanne (Normandie), predeceased him. His third wife and widow, Virginia (Langlois) Belair, survives.
