Beadles, Melvin S, 86, of Mechanicsville, went to be w his Lord on Sun, Sept 4, 2005. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Parsley Beadles; & his sons, Kenneth Lewis Beadles & Melvin S Beadles Jr. He is survived by his dau, Mrs Jeanette Beadles Willis of New Kent; 3 grands, 5 great-grands, & a great-granddau due in Sept; 2 sis, Mrs Beatrice B Elliott & Mrs Jean B Mitchell, bth of St Stephens Ch, Va. Mr Beadles was a faithful & active memb of Prospect United Metst Ch, serving as a trustee & former superint of the Sund schl. He was retired as general supervisor with the City of Richmond after 33 yrs of service & an Army vet of WWII. His remains rest at the Mechanicsville Chpl Bennett Funeral Hm, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd, where his fam will receive friends Wed & where services will be held at 2pm Thur. Interment WA Mem'l Prk.
