Son of Oliver Grant Actkinson & Tessie May Hollabaugh; grandson of Jessie Lee & Amanda Ellen (Hooser) Actkinson and John Wilton & Pernecia Isabel (McBrayer) Hollabaugh. He was Oliver and Tessie's eighth of nine children born to them.

8 months, 9 days, died of broncho pneumonia. Death Certificate # 51451, informant: Mrs. Oliver G. Actkinson, Vera, Knox Co., TX.

Buddy was born a special needs baby. The family was living near both the Actkinson and Hollabaugh families at this time. Lillie (Hollabaugh) Taylor stayed with her sister Tessie when Buddy was sick at the end of his life. Jewel Hobbs ( Cousin and Bessie's daughter) was age 5 when Buddy died. She remembered seeing the white cup towel used as a flag raised when Buddy died. This was to let the families know he had passed away.
