Mr. Gee was a native of Lowell, Massachusetts, his parents being William and Sarah Gee. He and his brother Tom came to the Tomichi district about nine years ago, and they owned two ranches six miles below White Pine. He lived there until a few months ago, when he removed to North Star being employed by the May-Mazeppa mine. Last November, he visited his home in Lowell, and on his return last May, he took charge of the Turner & Macy store in North Star.

Note: His older brother, Thomas W. Gee, died in September 1884 and is probably buried in the White Pine Cemetery. Tom's death notice in the White Pine Cone newspaper made no mention of a funeral nor burial location.
