Edna met her husband, Scott Graham, at the Ennis Ranch in North Park, Colorado, where he worked as a cowboy. They were married at her foster father's home in Littleton, CO, on July 13, 1913. They then settled near Kremmling, where Scott bought a small herd of cows and a ranch. There they lived in North Park until their children were of high school age. In 1929, they moved to their ranch in Steamboat Springs, at the foot of Mt. Werner, the old-fashioned way: by horse and wagon, taking with them their livestock and pets. While the trip was generally uneventful, they lost one of their cats when the wagon turned over while crossing a creek.
Scott and Edna had three children: Jane, Alfred Scott "Fritz", and Alice.
