LOGAN, UTAH: Boyd Spencer Bingham, 77, of Logan passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at his home.

He was born on November 27, 1926 in Smithfield, Utah to Willard S. Bingham and May Bright. He was raised here in Cache County his whole life, and it is here where he met his wife Norene Funk. They were married on April 16, 1947 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Boyd served honorably in the Navy and was sent to fight in World War II. He was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Boyd is survived by his wife Norene Bingham of Logan and his four children: Marva Marie (Bern) Thurston, St. George; Blaine B. (Susan) Bingham, Nibley; Shelia M. (James) Draper, South Jordan; and Douglas J. (Kathy) Bingham. He is also survived by his four sisters: Mildred Jensen, Roy; Thelma Earl, Bountiful; Amy Kresie, Providence; and Barbara Van Blerk, St. James, Florida. He also was survived by 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughters, Bonnie L. Watts and Carol A. Bingham, his brothers VenDean Bingham and Willard S. Bingham, Jr. and his sisters Norene Bingham and Uvada Jensen.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 11, at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center St., Logan with Bishop Jens Trauntvein conducting. A viewing will be held at 10:00 - 11:30 AM at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion.
