Funeral Services for Johnny A. Acuna 64, of East Bernard, Texas will be held Monday February 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church 839 Church Street in East Bernard. Burial will follow at San Francisco Cemetery in East Bernard.
Visitation will be Sunday February 16, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Hernandez Funeral Home 800 Fourth Street in Rosenberg. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Acuna was born December 9, 1949 in Hollie, Oklahoma and he passed away February 12, 2014 at his home in East Bernard, Texas. He is preceded in death by his mother Adelaida Sanchez; his brothers Richard Guerrero and Francisco Guerrero, Jr.; his sister Nora Marie Sanchez.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Virginia Acuna; his father Pedro Sanchez, Sr.; his sons Edward Acuna (Leslie), John Allen Acuna, Johnny Acuna, Jr. (Cynthia), Tony Acuna (Virginia); his daughters Francis Odems (Sedrick), Anita Acuna; his brothers Pedro Sanchez, Jr., James Guerrero, Randolph Guerrero; his sisters Carol Hernandez, Connie Barrera, Josie Bentancourt, Martina Calderon, Norma Luna, Mary Chavez, Susana Sanchez, Elena Ledezma, Gracie Sanchez, Margie Sanchez; along with 14 grandchildren as well as other loving family members and friends.
