WIGGINS --- Mr. Billie Ray Alexander, 76, of Wiggins, died April 8, at his residence in Wiggins.
Mr. Alexander was the owner and operator of Alexander Hardware and Supply in Wiggins. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wiggins.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Odem Alexander of Wiggins; two sons and their wives, Billy Gerald and Ellen Alexander of Long Beach and John and Gabrielle Alexander of Wiggins; three daughters, Brenda Alexander Dyal and her husband, Ron Dyal of Wiggins, Kathy Alexander Gordon of Wiggins and Lisa Alexander of Wiggins; eight grandchildren, Misty Alexander, Jamie Alexander, Jonathan Dyal and his wife, Marcie, Alexandra Danielle Dyal, Cassie Hardy and her husband, Paul, Zane Gordon, Brenton Alexander, and Julie Alexander; one great-grandson, Grayson David Dyal; one brother, Norris Alexander of Wiggins; and one sister, Irene Sumrall of Long Beach.
Visitation will be Tuesday April 10, 2001, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Family Life Center of the First United Methodist Church. Services will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center with the Rev. Rick Brooks officiating. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery in Wiggins.
Pallbearers will be David Baxter, Andy Seals, Greg Scarbrough, Mike (Jigger) Lott, Ronald Alexander, Wynn Alexander, Dr. J.W. Holmes, and Dean McCann. Honorary pallbearers will be all the many people whose lives he has affected.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nehemiah Building Fund of First United Methodist Church.
